Craters MTB Park Gets a Freshen-Up Just in Time for the School Holidays
If you haven’t ridden Craters MTB Park lately, now is a pretty good time to get back out there.
The team at Bike Taupō have been putting in some awesome work around the park, revamping several popular trails and giving others a much-needed tidy-up. And with the school holidays here, the timing couldn’t be better.
Fresh Trails to Check Out
Some Craters favourites have been getting plenty of attention, including Coaster, Eddies 400, Megalicious and Slalom.
The work is giving these trails a new lease on life and making them even more fun to ride. Whether you’re a local who knows every corner of Craters or you're visiting Taupō with your bikes, it’s a great excuse to head into the park and see what’s changed.
Buzzard and Tank Down have also had a tidy-up, so there are plenty of refreshed trails to explore across the network.
A Huge Effort From Bike Taupō
It’s easy to turn up, jump on your bike and enjoy the trails, but there’s a huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to keep a mountain bike park like Craters running.
From trail building and maintenance to clearing vegetation, repairing worn sections and continually improving the riding experience, Bike Taupō and its volunteers put an incredible amount of time and energy into the network.
For us at FourB, Craters is quite literally our backyard. We ride these trails, send our hire customers into the park and get to see first-hand how much enjoyment they bring to locals and visitors.
So a massive thank you to Bike Taupō and everyone who has been involved in the latest work.
