A Lifesaving Addition to FourB

At FourB, we're passionate about helping people get outdoors, explore our incredible trails, and enjoy everything our region has to offer. But with adventure comes responsibility, and we're always looking for ways to make our community safer.

We're proud to announce the installation of a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at our base on Huka Falls Road.

This project began last year when FourB launched a community fundraiser to help purchase an AED. While we were fortunate to receive fantastic support, we didn't quite reach our fundraising goal.

That's where the incredible E Mountainbikers Taupo Social Group stepped in.

Recognising the importance of having a defibrillator available in such a popular riding area, the group quickly rallied together and raised the remaining funds needed to make this project a reality.

Thanks to their generosity and community spirit, the AED is now installed and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who may need it.

The trails surrounding FourB see thousands of riders, walkers, runners, and visitors every year. In the event of a cardiac emergency, having rapid access to a defibrillator can dramatically improve a person's chance of survival while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

This AED isn't just for FourB customers—it's a resource for the entire community.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the original fundraiser and especially to the E Mountainbikers Taupo Social Group for helping us get this important project across the finish line.

Together, we've added another layer of safety to our trail network and created something that could one day help save a life.

The AED is located at FourB Bike Shop, 413 Huka Falls Road, and is accessible 24/7.
